A key pillar of leadership and support within the Strategy practice at UNIT9, the Director of Strategy is tasked with supporting the growth and development of the discipline within the company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Support the development of a strategy practice that organically strengthens and extends UNIT9’s creative and innovation capabilities
-Contribute to thought leadership and lead research initiatives across consumer, culture, competitive and category.
-Help mentor and grow a global team of engaged team members
-Work with the greater department to contribute and lead internal UNIT9 strategy education initiatives
-Elevate and deepen relationships with clients by identifying and supporting strategic opportunities within new and existing projects
-Be the advocate for both audience and brand, creating mutually beneficial value exchanges that come to life through engaging campaigns, creative technology and/or interactive experiences.
-Author and lead client-facing workshops
-Identify and vet relevant vendors and partnerships that will help support and strengthen UNIT9’s strategic offering
-Represent and lead the UNIT9 strategy PoV on new business initiatives and pitches
-Work with Production team to ensure strategy deliverables are costed, managed and executed flawlessly
-Partner and support the creative team as needed in the development of new concepts and creative
-Act as the strategic lead on assigned projects and partnerships
-Support and at times lead the development of strategic frameworks, tools and processes
-Min. 5-7 years of experience
-Deep understanding of the digital marketing and activation landscape
-Superior presentation and written communication skills
-Strong research and analytical capabilities
-Comfortable turning nebulous asks into well articulated briefs
-Experience with UX a (very) nice to have
-Curious and collaborative
