Job Overview

As Business Director you will be the face of Unit9 across brands and agencies, responsible for representing some of the most awesome, cutting edge and creative experiential work in the world. You will drive swift business growth through long-lasting and lucrative relationships, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities to help achieve UNIT9’s ambitious growth targets. You will be plugged into the world of experiential, shows, events and emerging technology and will be incredibly knowledgeable about the advertising landscape and able to identity opportunities where brands, technology and people intersect.

Reports to: Managing Director 



-You will be entrepreneurial, commercially driven and will relish the opportunity to represent UNIT9 in the UK

-You will be driven by innovation and creativity in experiential. You will be passionate and knowledgeable across all of the latest technology platforms and innovations. 

-You will have a background in selling creative, production and strategy

-You will be an excellent communicator, capable of presenting creative ideas in a compelling and engaging manner. 

-You will have experience selling-in and running strategic focused and consultative services

-You will have a proven track record of commercial delivery in a creative environment 

-You will have an extensive network of contacts across agencies and brands in the UK

-You will relish working in a high-paced and collaborative environment 


Business  Director Tasks:

-You will lead Experiential New business for UNIT9 EMEA

-Responsible for lead generation, new business and sales across brands and agencies across the world

-Building a strong experiential  new business pipeline to meet and exceed pre-arranged revenue targets. 

-To implement a client contact strategy to strategically and proactively target clients via various channels with a view to open up a conversation to showcase our offering as a business.

-Responsible for maintaining and growing new and existing client relationships by negotiating and closing deals across Unit9’s diverse offering

-Presenting creative proposals to clients and key decision makers with creative leads and production team

-Client management across the whole project lifecycle, working closely with the production team and acting as an escalation point when needed

-Attend regular status meetings and work with our clients to find solutions to business problems by keeping abreast of industry updates

-Interface with Executive Producers and Lead Producers who are responsible for the day-to-day communication with clients and the production of client business.

-Acting as point-person with key influence across cross-functional teams whilst meeting deadlines and ensuring high quality creative

-Working within the marketing function to input on thought leadership, outreach strategy and events



Your performance will be assessed against your ability to:

To meet and exceed agreed experiential sales targets within the agreed timeframe.

To build and maintain a pipeline of prospects across the whole year 

To work collaboratively across the various departments and divisions of UNIT9

To raise the profile of UNIT9 as whole 


Salary and Commision 

Package: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
