Working with the talented team at Nice & Serious, UNIT9 directors Greg and Jacob push the boundaries to create a beautiful spot a little outside the Rainforest Alliance’s traditional output.

The Appalachian Mountains are one of the most biodiverse spots in North America. Scientists have documented more than 15,000 species found nowhere else in the world. This region is also home to people and economies that have long been tied to the boom-bust cycle of coal mining. Since 2015, the Rainforest Alliance has been working with the Appalachian Woodlands Alliance to strengthen sustainable forest management in the Appalachians, finding a balance between biodiversity conservation and healthy local economies that will last as long as a forest.

The Rainforest Alliance is an international nonprofit working to build strong forests and healthy communities. Learn more about our work with forests, in the Appalachians and around the world, at https://www.rainforest-alliance.org
