XR Strategy Lead
We are currently looking for a XR Strategy Lead to join our team in London.
About the role:
A creative, strategic and commercial role focussed on driving knowledge, capabilities and opportunities within the XR space.
As XR Strategy Lead you will be tasked with developing and owning all of UNIT9’s relationships with the leading and emerging platforms, technology providers, specialist vendors and hardware manufacturers.
You will build and lead our R&D roadmap, and working with developers and designers you will create proof of concepts around new features, platforms and hardware.
The role will see you representing UNIT9 at industry events and within trade press, with a view to promote UNIT9 as a pioneer in the inmmersive space.
The role will sit within a newly formed team, outside of the UNIT9 project-focussed production, creative and technical departments.
You will be passionate about all things immersive. You will have an existing network of contacts across the key players in the space (Google, Instagram, Facebook, Snap, Oculus, Magic Leap etc.). You will be fuelled by creativity and grounded in strategy. You will be hungry to find and close commercial opportunities. You will be curious, and you will have an opinion. You will be good with both spoken and written word. You will be entrepreneurial, bringing ideas to work every day. You relish continuously learning and throw yourself at every challenge. You will be fun, friendly and collaborative.
Your role will encompass, but not be limited to the following:
XR Roadmap: Defining and building a road-map of new and upcoming features, platforms and hardware. Building relationships with the key players in the market to gain early developer access to new features. Creating relevant use cases and applications of immersive technologies
R&D: Conceptualising proof of concepts and use cases of how emerging XR technologies can be applied within the context of UNIT9. Working with a dedicated designer and developer to build out these proof of concepts and creating marketing and demo materials
Thought Leadership and Public Speaking: Acting as a representative and voice for UNIT9 within the XR and Advertising industry. Contributing to trade press and speaking at specialist trade events
Business Development: Building a sales pipeline of XR opportunities outside of the advertising industry. Exploring how UNIT9 can utilise our capabilities within the education, entertainment and enterprise industries
Internal Knowledge Sharing and Education: Filtering key learnings and insight into documentation and training sessions across the wider business, from technology feasibility reports to strategic guidance.
